Position: CNC & VMC Turn Mill Operator

Job Summary

Responsible for operating CNC, VMC and Turn Mill machines for manufacturing components as per approved drawings, process sheets, quality standards and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate CNC, VMC and Turn Mill machines safely and efficiently.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform tool setting, tool offset correction and basic machine adjustments.
- Set and use appropriate tools, fixtures and work-holding devices.
- Load and unload components correctly and safely.
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspection as per requirements.
- Use Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge and other measuring instruments.
- Monitor tool condition, machine parameters and machining quality.
- Identify machining defects, tool wear and abnormal machine conditions and report to the supervisor.
- Achieve daily production targets as per production plan.
- Minimize rejection, rework and machine downtime.
- Maintain proper production and inspection records.
- Follow work instructions, PPE requirements and safety procedures.
- Maintain 5S, cleanliness and housekeeping at the workplace.




- Coordinate with Quality and Maintenance departments for process and machine-related issues.

Required Skills

- Hands-on knowledge of CNC, VMC and Turn Mill machine operation.
- Knowledge of machining processes and cutting tools.
- Basic knowledge of G-Code/M-Code and CNC programming.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T; and dimensional tolerances.
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
- Valuable understanding of quality and safety requirements.
- Ability to work in shifts and achieve production targets.

Qualification

ITI / Diploma – Mechanical / Machining / Production or relevant technical trade.

Experience

2–5 years of relevant experience in CNC, VMC or Turn Mill machining.
ITI candidates with relevant practical machining experience may also be considered.

Pay: ₹20,580.00 - ₹32,310.00 per month
