Little More Bakery is looking for an experienced, passionate and creative Cake Artist & Baker to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

- Baking & Preparation: Prepare cakes, sponges, fillings, frostings and icings according to standard recipes while maintaining consistency in taste and quality.
- Cake Decoration: Design and decorate customised cakes using piping, fondant, chocolate work and other finishing techniques.
- Bakery Production: Prepare and assist with pastries, desserts and other bakery products as required.
- Inventory Management: Check ingredient and supply stock levels, communicate requirements and help minimise kitchen waste.
- Order Management: Handle customised and bulk orders efficiently while ensuring all products are completed within the required timelines.
- Quality Control: Ensure baked products meet the required standards for taste, texture, consistency and presentation.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain clean and organised workstations, sanitise equipment and follow proper food safety and hygiene practices.

Required Skills

- Baking Techniques: Robust understanding of baking methods, including mixing, baking, oven temperature control and frosting preparation.
- Cake Decoration: Hands-on skills in piping, buttercream, fondant, chocolate work and customised cake designs.
- Artistic Detail:



Strong attention to detail with precision in cake decorating, finishing and visual presentation.
- Time Management: Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines, particularly during busy periods.
- Creativity: Ability to work creatively and execute customised designs from references or customer requirements.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a small bakery team.

Qualifications

- 2-3+ years of professional experience in baking and cake making.
- Proven experience as a Baker, Cake Artist, Cake Decorator or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with professional bakery and kitchen equipment, including ovens, mixers, blenders and dough sheeters.
- Good understanding of baking techniques and methods.
- Ability to accurately read and follow recipes.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity and a good eye for presentation.
- Ability to maintain quality and consistency while handling multiple or bulk orders.
- Knowledge of basic food hygiene and safety standards.

Candidates are strongly encouraged to share a portfolio or photographs of their previous cake and decorating work along with their application.
