JOB OPENING – ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (BCA)

Position: Assistant Professor
Programme: Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Joining: Immediate

Educational Qualification

- Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from a recognized university/institution.
- Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria as per I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) norms and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Freshers are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with relevant teaching/industry experience will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver lectures and practical sessions for BCA students.
- Teach subjects related to Programming, Database Management, Web Development, Computer Networks, Software Engineering, Data Structures, Computer Applications and other subjects as assigned.
- Conduct laboratory sessions and provide hands-on learning.
- Guide students in academic projects, assignments and practical work.
- Prepare lesson plans, course materials,



assignments and assessments.
- Mentor students and support their academic and professional development.
- Participate in seminars, workshops, departmental activities and other institutional responsibilities.
- Maintain academic records and perform duties assigned by the HOD/Management.

Desired Skills

- Strong knowledge of computer applications and programming concepts.
- Positive communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively engage and mentor undergraduate students.
- Knowledge of current technologies and software tools will be an added advantage.
- Passion for teaching and continuous learning.
