About the Role

Poona Pneumatic Pvt. Ltd., an authorized channel partner/service organization for ELGi Compressors, is looking for a technically skilled and customer-focused Service Engineer to join our service team.

The Service Engineer will be responsible for installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of industrial air compressors at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Installation and commissioning of ELGi air compressors at customer locations.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and routine servicing of compressors.
- Attend breakdown calls and troubleshoot compressor-related issues.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control-system problems.
- Carry out replacement of spare parts and service components as required.
- Perform compressor inspection and identify potential problems before failure.
- Maintain service reports, job cards, checklists, and customer records.
- Coordinate with customers regarding service schedules and technical requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers for proper compressor operation.
- Ensure timely closure of service complaints and breakdown calls.
- Identify opportunities for spares, AMC, upgrades, and additional service requirements.




- Coordinate with the sales team for technical support and customer requirements.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain proper service documentation.
- Travel to customer sites as required for service and maintenance activities.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of industrial air compressors and compressed-air systems.
- Basic to good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment independently.
- Good knowledge of motors, pumps, valves, sensors, controllers, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read basic electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations.
- Ability to prepare service reports and maintain documentation.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline.
- Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also be considered.
- Experience in compressor, industrial equipment, HVAC, pumps, automation, or similar industrial machinery will be an advantage.

Experience

0–5 years of relevant experience in industrial equipment/service engineering.

Candidates with experience in air compressors, compressed-air systems, industrial machinery, or rotating equipment will be preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
