About the Role
We're looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead our shift from manual QA to a contemporary, automation-first, CI/CD-integrated and AI-assisted quality engineering function. This role owns the full testing lifecycle — from test design through automated execution, CI/CD integration, and release quality gates — and acts as the technical lead for the QA team.

Responsibilities
● Own end-to-end automation testing and drive the shift from manual to automation-first QA.
● Design, build, and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks .
● Establish testing across unit, API, integration, UI, regression, smoke, and performance levels; define what to automate vs. keep manual.
● Build strong API/backend testing capability — REST APIs, JSON/XML, DB validation, contract and microservices testing.
● Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Docker).
● Evaluate and introduce practical AI-assisted testing — test generation, self-healing automation, intelligent failure/root-cause analysis, and LLM-based workflows (e.g., requirements → test cases, failure → RCA).
● Define and track QA metrics: automation coverage, defect escape rate, flaky test %
● Implement automated reporting and quality gates that block releases when thresholds aren't met.
● Set framework and coding standards for automation, test data, environments, and version control.
● Mentor manual testers and QA engineers, building a strong automation-first culture within the team.

Required Technical Skills
Mandatory
● 5+ years of software QA experience, including significant hands-on automation experience.
● Strong programming skills in at least one of: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#.
● Hands-on experience with Playwright,Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent frameworks.
● Solid API testing experience using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
● Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins,



GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps) and Git.
● SQL/database testing and validation experience.
● Experience with Agile/Scrum development and integrating tests into build pipelines.
● Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of failed automation. Good to have
● Exposure to AI-assisted testing, LLM-based QA workflows, or AI testing agents.
● Performance testing (JMeter) and mobile automation (Appium).
● Test orchestration, parallel execution, and visual regression testing.
● Prior experience mentoring or leading a QA team.

Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline. Relevant professional experience may substitute for formal education.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
