Qualification: BDS + MDS in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Experience: Relevant surgical experience required; additional experience in cosmetology, facial aesthetics and/or hair transplantation preferred.

Role Overview

BM Plastic Surgery & Cosmetic Centre is looking for an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon with strong surgical skills and an interest in facial aesthetics, cosmetology and hair restoration.

The candidate will work closely with the Plastic Surgery, Aesthetic Medicine, Dental and Hair Restoration teams in managing facial, maxillofacial, dentoalveolar, cosmetic and hair-related patients.

Candidates who have additional hands-on exposure or certified training in cosmetology, facial aesthetic procedures or hair transplantation will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities

- Evaluate and manage patients with oral and maxillofacial conditions.
- Perform detailed facial, dental and maxillofacial clinical assessment.
- Diagnose and manage appropriate dentoalveolar and maxillofacial surgical conditions.
- Perform minor oral surgical procedures.
- Manage impacted teeth and other appropriate oral surgical conditions.
- Evaluate facial trauma and facial bone injuries.
- Participate in facial trauma and reconstructive procedures.
- Coordinate with plastic surgeons for complex facial reconstruction.
- Evaluate jaw deformities, facial asymmetry and related maxillofacial conditions.
- Coordinate orthognathic cases with dental and orthodontic teams where required.
- Review relevant investigations including OPG, CT and CBCT.
- Participate in facial contouring and aesthetic facial treatment planning.
- Assess patients seeking facial rejuvenation and cosmetic procedures.
- Assist or perform appropriate aesthetic/cosmetology procedures based on qualification, certified training and permitted scope of practice.




- Participate in treatment planning for scars, facial rejuvenation, contour correction and post-traumatic facial rehabilitation.
- Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure counselling.
- Maintain appropriate clinical photography and treatment documentation.
- Obtain comprehensive informed consent before procedures.
- Conduct postoperative and post-procedure follow-up.
- Identify and manage complications appropriately and escalate when necessary.
- Maintain strict surgical safety, sterilisation and infection-control standards.

Hair Transplant & Hair Restoration Responsibilities

Candidates with experience in hair transplantation may additionally:

- Evaluate patients presenting with hair loss and alopecia.
- Participate in hair transplant consultations and surgical planning.
- Assess donor and recipient areas.
- Assist in designing hairlines and determining graft requirements under the hair transplant team's protocol.
- Participate in FUE and other hair restoration procedures based on experience and training.
- Assist with graft extraction, implantation and intraoperative coordination as appropriate.
- Participate in beard, moustache and other facial hair transplantation where indicated.
- Counsel patients regarding pre-operative preparation, postoperative care and expected outcomes.
- Conduct postoperative hair transplant reviews and follow-up.
- Coordinate with the trichology and hair restoration team for non-surgical hair-loss management.

Cosmetology & Facial Aesthetic Experience – Preferred

Additional experience or training in any of the following will be considered an advantage:





- Facial aesthetics and facial rejuvenation.
- Injectable aesthetic procedures.
- Botulinum toxin procedures.
- Dermal fillers.
- PRP / PRF and regenerative aesthetic procedures.
- Chemical peels.
- Laser and energy-based aesthetic procedures.
- Scar management.
- Facial contouring.
- Non-surgical aesthetic treatments.
- Hair restoration and hair transplantation.

Any procedure performed must be within the candidate's qualified qualification, competency, certified training and applicable regulatory scope.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- MDS in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
- Strong surgical and clinical skills.
- Good understanding of facial anatomy.
- Strong interest in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.
- Experience in cosmetology / facial aesthetics preferred.
- Experience in hair transplantation / hair restoration preferred.
- Additional certified training in aesthetic medicine or hair transplantation will be an advantage.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with plastic surgeons, dentists, cosmetologists and hair restoration teams.
- Excellent patient counselling and communication skills.
- Professional approach and strong clinical documentation.
- Ability to manage patients from initial consultation through treatment, surgery and postoperative follow-up.

Consultant Plastic Surgeon / Medical Director – BM Plastic Surgery & Cosmetic Centre

Candidate Advantage

Preference may be given to an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon who can contribute across Maxillofacial Surgery + Facial Aesthetics + Cosmetology + Hair Restoration, thereby functioning as part of BM's integrated plastic, cosmetic and hair surgery team.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

Experience:

- OMFS: 1 year (Preferred)
- Hair Transplant: 1 year (Preferred)
- Dental extractions: 1 year (Preferred)
