The Chartering team member is responsible for managing and coordinating vessel chartering activities, ensuring the efficient movement of cargo by sea. The role involves identifying suitable vessels, coordinating with shipowners, brokers, customers, and internal teams, negotiating freight rates and charter terms, and ensuring smooth execution of chartering operations while maintaining cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.

- Handle day-to-day chartering activities for vessels and cargo.
- Identify suitable vessels/cargo opportunities based on customer requirements.
- Coordinate with shipowners, brokers, charterers, agents, and customers.
- Source vessel and cargo requirements through market contacts and industry networks.
- Negotiate freight rates, charter terms, laycan, demurrage, and other commercial terms.
- Prepare and review charter party agreements, fixture notes, and related documentation.
- Monitor vessel availability, schedules, port rotations, and cargo requirements.
- Track market freight rates and provide regular market intelligence and competitor updates.
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with shipowners, brokers,



and customers.
- Coordinate with Operations, Documentation, Finance, and other internal teams for smooth execution.
- Follow up on voyage instructions, loading/discharging schedules, port requirements, and vessel movements.
- Ensure all commercial and operational terms agreed during fixture are properly communicated to the concerned teams.
- Monitor demurrage/dispatch calculations and coordinate with relevant parties for settlement.
- Maintain records of fixtures, quotations, contracts, and chartering transactions.
- Assist in preparing commercial reports, profitability analysis, and chartering MIS.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and applicable maritime regulations.
- Conduct market research on market conditions, supply-demand trends, and competitor activities to support effective chartering strategies and identify new business opportunities.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 per year
