Role & Responsibilites:
Estimation, BOQ & Cost Management
- Prepare detailed BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for MEP works based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Prepare rate analysis for MEP items, including material, labour, equipment, installation, wastage, and other associated costs.
- Prepare detailed rate estimates and cost estimates for electrical, HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other MEP services.
- Review drawings and specifications to identify quantities, materials, and scope of MEP works for accurate estimation.
- Obtain and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotations and conduct technical and commercial comparisons.
- Negotiate with vendors and contractors to achieve competitive project rates while maintaining required quality standards.
- Prepare project cost sheets and monitor estimated costs against actual project expenses.
- Assist in determining project pricing, markup, and profit margins to ensure commercially viable and profitable projects.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative materials/methodologies without compromising quality or project requirements.
- Support the Project Manager and management team in preparing client quotations, commercial proposals, and tender submissions.
- Monitor material consumption and MEP execution costs to control project budgets and avoid cost overruns.
- Maintain records of BOQs, rate analysis, estimates, quotations, variations, and final quantities for project documentation and billing purposes.
Vendor, Contractor & Material Management
- Coordinate with MEP vendors, contractors,
and suppliers to ensure timely execution and compliance with project specifications.
- Verify materials received at site against approved specifications, BOQs, drawings, and purchase orders.
- Evaluate vendor quotations and ensure procurement is aligned with approved project budgets.
- Monitor material consumption, installation status, and site requirements to minimise wastage and delays.
- Follow up with vendors and contractors for timely resolution of material and execution-related issues.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the on-site point of contact for clients and consultants regarding MEP-related activities.
- Coordinate with architects, interior designers, project managers, civil teams, and other stakeholders to resolve technical and execution-related issues.
- Participate in Client meetings and provide updates on MEP progress, technical concerns, costs, and pending activities.
- Coordinate with the estimation, procurement, and project execution teams to ensure alignment between quoted scope and actual site execution.
Technical & Compliance Management
- Ensure MEP installations are executed as per approved shop drawings, technical specifications, relevant codes, and project standards.
- Review drawings and identify potential technical issues, quantity discrepancies, and service clashes.
- Coordinate MEP service coordination and resolve technical issues during execution.
- Ensure testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover activities are completed as per project requirements.
Safety & Site Compliance
- Ensure all MEP activities comply with applicable safety standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Monitor secure working practices by contractors and site personnel.
- Report unsafe conditions, technical deviations, quality concerns, and other site issues to the Project Manager promptly.
- Ensure proper documentation of inspections, measurements, material approvals, and project records.
Company Requirements:
- BE/B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from a recognised university.
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in MEP execution, estimation, and costing, preferably in commercial interior fit-out, corporate office, EPC, or turnkey projects.
- Strong hands-on experience in MEP BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, rate analysis, and cost estimation.
- Should have practical knowledge of electrical MEP systems and working exposure to HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other MEP services.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, layouts, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents.
- Mumbai resident and immediate joiner is highly preferred
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
