Key Responsibilities
1. Artwork & File Preparation
- Receive and review artwork according to the job order.
- Check dimensions, quantity, orientation, bleed and margins.
- Ensure the correct artwork/version is being used.
- Check image resolution and basic print suitability.
- Identify missing fonts, images, links or other file issues.
2. Print Layout & Setting
- Set artwork according to the required final print size.
- Arrange multiple designs efficiently on sheets or rolls to minimize material wastage.
- Set margins, gaps, crop marks and registration marks where required.
- Prepare files for single-sided, double-sided, repeat or multiple-up printing.
- Calculate the number of prints required and the material needed.
3. Colour & Print Settings
- Check CMYK/RGB requirements.
- Apply the correct colour profile where required.
- Select appropriate resolution and print quality.
- Configure RIP/software settings according to the printer and material.
- Ensure the correct media, print mode and colour settings are selected.
4. Pre-Production Quality Check
- Conduct a final file check before releasing the job for printing.
- Verify:
- Size
- Quantity
- Colour
- Bleed
- Resolution
- Orientation
- Content
- Finishing requirements
- Obtain clarification or approval when specifications are unclear.
5. RIP & Production Workflow
- Process files through the appropriate RIP/print-production software.
- Send correctly prepared files to the relevant printer.
- Maintain proper job sequencing based on production priority.
- Communicate special instructions to the Digital Print Operator.
6. Material Optimization
- Optimize layouts to reduce paper, vinyl, fabric, board and other media wastage.
- Select appropriate media sizes where applicable.
- Avoid unnecessary reprints caused by incorrect file settings.
7. Coordination
- Coordinate with designers regarding artwork corrections.
- Coordinate with Digital Print Operators regarding printer settings.
- Coordinate with Post-Print/Finishing teams regarding cutting, folding, trimming or other requirements.
- Escalate technical or artwork problems to the Production Manager.
Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
