SENIOR MANAGER – FINANCE

Location: Kochi, Kerala
Experience: 8–12 Years
Qualification: CA preferred

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Senior Manager – Finance to lead the organisation’s General Ledger, Treasury and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;) functions.
The role will be responsible for financial reporting, controllership, cash and liquidity management, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and business performance analysis.
The position will work closely with the Directors and senior business leaders, providing accurate financial information, actionable insights and financial discipline to support business decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. General Ledger & Controllership

- Lead the month-end and year-end close process.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of GL, reconciliations, provisions and financial statements.
- Review financial reporting and identify exceptions, risks and control gaps. Maintain effective financial controls and accounting processes.
- Coordinate internal and statutory audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and statutory requirements

2. Treasury & Cash Management

- Manage daily cash position, liquidity and funding requirements.
- Prepare and monitor short- and medium-term cash-flow forecasts.
- Oversee collections, payments and working-capital management.
- Manage banking relationships and treasury operations.
- Identify liquidity risks and provide timely recommendations.
- Improve cash visibility, utilisation and working-capital efficiency.

3. FP&A; & Business Performance

- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles.
- Develop financial projections, business models and scenario analysis.
- Analyse actual performance against budget and forecast.
- Perform variance analysis across revenue, costs, margins and working capital.
- Identify key business drivers, trends, risks and opportunities.
- Partner with business leaders to improve financial and operational performance.

Management Reporting & Analytics

- Develop accurate and timely MIS, dashboards and performance reports.
- Establish and monitor relevant financial and business KPIs.
- Consolidate financial and operational data into meaningful management insights.
- Provide clear commentary on performance, key drivers and emerging risks.
- Support leadership with ad-hoc financial analysis and decision support.

5. Process Improvement & Finance Transformation

- Review existing finance processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Standardise and simplify finance workflows, controls and reporting.
- Drive automation of repetitive and manual activities.
- Improve data quality, reporting efficiency and process scalability.
- Promote the use of technology and analytics within the finance function.

6. People & Stakeholder Management

- Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.
- Define responsibilities, performance expectations and operating standards.
- Review team performance and build functional capability.
- Work effectively with business, operations and functional leadership.
- Communicate financial matters clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITIES

- 8–12 years of relevant finance experience.
- CA preferred. CA Inter / CMA / MBA Finance / M.Com candidates with strong relevant experience may also be considered.
- Solid experience across GL / Controllership, Treasury and FP&A.;
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and cash-flow management.
- Strong understanding of P&L;, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
- Experience in management reporting and financial analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, audit and internal controls.
- Experience working with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability.
- Advanced MS Excel skills. Experience with ERP / financial management systems.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
