Position Overview
The Business Head – Sathyam Agro Clinic will be responsible for the overall business performance, strategic growth, sales, marketing, operations, and people management across 15 districts and 36 taluks, with an overall workforce of approximately 250 employees.
The role will provide strategic leadership to the entire Sathyam Agro Clinic business, ensuring sustainable revenue growth, profitability, market expansion, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and robust execution at the field level.
Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Business Leadership
- Develop and execute the overall business strategy for Sathyam Agro Clinic.
- Drive business growth across 15 districts and 36 taluks.
- Prepare annual business plans, budgets, sales forecasts, and growth strategies.
- Establish clear business objectives, KPIs, and performance standards across all levels.
- Take overall accountability for revenue, profitability, market share, and business sustainability.
2. Sales & Market Development
- Lead the overall sales and marketing strategy for fertilizers, agricultural inputs, and related products/services.
- Set district-wise and taluk-wise sales targets and ensure achievement.
- Drive primary and secondary sales growth through effective channel management.
- Identify new markets, business opportunities, products, and revenue streams.
- Strengthen the company's presence and market share across the assigned territories.
3. Field Marketing & Farmer Engagement
- Develop and implement farmer-centric marketing strategies.
- Drive farmer meetings, product demonstrations, crop seminars, field days, and promotional campaigns.
- Strengthen relationships with progressive farmers, FPOs, dealers, distributors, and agricultural stakeholders.
- Ensure effective product communication and technical support at the field level.
- Develop strategies to improve farmer acquisition, retention, and repeat business.
4. Channel & Network Management
- Develop and strengthen the dealer and distributor network across all operating territories.
- Monitor dealer productivity, stock movement, credit exposure, and business potential.
- Establish strong and sustainable channel relationships.
- Ensure product availability in line with seasonal demand and market requirements.
5. Manpower & Leadership
- Lead and manage an overall workforce of approximately 250 employees.
- Build an effective organizational structure across district and taluk operations.
- Set individual and team KPIs and monitor performance regularly.
- Develop leadership capabilities through structured training, coaching, and field reviews.
- Identify high-potential employees and create succession and career development plans.
- Ensure employee productivity, accountability, discipline, and retention.
6. District & Taluk Operations
- Review district-wise and taluk-wise business performance on a regular basis.
- Identify underperforming territories and implement corrective action plans.
- Ensure effective field coverage and execution of business strategies.
- Conduct regular performance reviews with District and Taluk-level leadership teams.
- Ensure consistent implementation of company policies, processes, and business initiatives.
7. Financial & Profitability Management
- Take ownership of overall business profitability.
- Monitor revenue, gross margins, operating expenses, and contribution margins.
- Ensure effective working capital and credit management.
- Monitor outstanding collections and minimize credit risks.
- Optimize manpower, marketing, logistics, and operational costs.
8. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination
- Forecast product demand based on crop patterns, seasonality, and market potential.
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely product availability.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock ageing, stock rotation, and product movement.
- Minimize stock-outs, excess inventory, and slow-moving stock.
9. Market Intelligence & Competition
- Continuously monitor competitor products, pricing, schemes, promotions, and market strategies.
- Analyze changing farmer needs, crop patterns, market trends, and customer behavior.
- Provide strategic market intelligence and recommendations to senior management.
- Develop appropriate counter-strategies to strengthen market position.
10. MIS, Governance & Review
- Establish an effective MIS and business review mechanism.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance dashboards.
- Review Target vs. Achievement, productivity, stock, collections, manpower, and profitability.
- Present periodic business reviews and strategic recommendations to the management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and applicable agricultural regulations.
Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
