Job Description – Political Science PGT Teacher (Grades 11 & 12 – CBSE)

Job Summary

Chrysalis High is looking for a passionate and dedicated Political Science PGT Teacher to teach Grades 11 and 12 (CBSE). The candidate should have strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons that help students develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and a strong understanding of political concepts.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach Political Science to Grades 11 and 12 as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Plan and deliver effective, engaging, and interactive classroom lessons.
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, tests, and examinations.
- Assess student performance and provide regular feedback.
- Prepare students for CBSE Board Examinations.
- Develop students' critical thinking, analytical, communication, and research skills.
- Maintain student records, attendance, academic performance, and classroom discipline.
- Use digital teaching tools and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning.
- Conduct remedial and enrichment sessions based on students' learning needs.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings, school events, and staff meetings.
- Collaborate with the academic team to ensure effective curriculum planning and delivery.
- Stay updated with CBSE curriculum changes,



examination patterns, and developments in Political Science.

Experience

- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in Political Science for Grades 11 and 12 is preferred.
- Experience in a CBSE school is preferred.
- Experience in preparing students for CBSE Board Examinations will be an added advantage.

- Strong subject knowledge of Political Science and related Social Science concepts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage students through interactive and student-centred teaching methodologies.
- Proficiency in digital teaching tools and educational technology.

- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and student development.

Qualifications

- Master's Degree in Political Science or a relevant subject.
- B.Ed. is mandatory.
- Candidates with relevant CBSE teaching experience will be preferred.
