About the Role

Chasing Illusions is looking for a creative, tech-savvy AI Video Editor who understands that the future of filmmaking and content creation is a combination of creative storytelling + AI-powered production.

We are not looking for someone who simply knows how to cut footage.

We are looking for someone who can use AI to create, enhance, transform, and accelerate visual storytelling — from generating concepts and visuals to editing, compositing, motion, sound, and final delivery.

You will work closely with our creative and production teams to turn ideas into visually striking content using a combination of traditional editing techniques and emerging AI tools.

What You'll Do

- Edit and produce high-quality videos for digital, social media, advertising, and creative projects.
- Use AI video-generation and AI-assisted editing tools to create recent visual concepts and sequences.
- Experiment with AI-generated footage, image-to-video, text-to-video, generative effects, and visual transformations.
- Use AI for storyboarding, ideation, shot development, visual references, and pre-production.
- Integrate AI-generated assets seamlessly with real footage.
- Use AI tools for rotoscoping, masking, object removal, background replacement, upscaling, frame interpolation, tracking, and compositing.
- Explore AI-powered workflows for color grading, sound design, voice, subtitles, cleanup, and editing automation.
- Create visually compelling transitions, motion graphics, VFX, and cinematic effects.
- Develop efficient workflows that combine tools such as Premiere Pro, After Effects,



DaVinci Resolve, and emerging AI platforms.
- Continuously test new AI tools and identify technologies that can improve our creative output.
- Maintain a high level of visual quality and ensure AI-generated content feels intentional, believable, and creatively relevant.
- Work on multiple projects while maintaining deadlines and creative consistency.

AI Skills We're Looking For

You should be genuinely interested in generative AI and its application to filmmaking and video production.

Experience with tools such as Runway, Kling, Veo, Sora, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, ElevenLabs, Topaz, ComfyUI, or similar AI platforms is highly valuable.

You don't need to know every tool.

What matters is your ability to learn, experiment, and figure out how to use AI to achieve a creative outcome.

Must-Have Skills

- Strong understanding of video editing and visual storytelling.
- Experience with professional editing software.
- Understanding of pacing, composition, music, sound, transitions, and narrative structure.
- Strong eye for visual quality and detail.
- Ability to work with both AI-generated and traditional video footage.




- Ability to write effective AI prompts for visual and video generation.
- Willingness to experiment with new AI tools and workflows.
- Ability to take creative direction and execute revisions quickly.
- Strong problem-solving and creative-thinking skills.

Bonus Skills

- Motion graphics and After Effects.
- VFX and compositing.
- 3D workflows.
- AI character/video generation.
- AI voice and sound generation.
- Advanced color grading.
- ComfyUI or node-based AI workflows.
- Experience creating cinematic or advertising content.

Important

This is an ON-SITE creative role.

Candidates should be prepared to work directly with the Chasing Illusions team, participate in creative discussions, experiment with new workflows, and deliver projects within deadlines.

Portfolio / Showreel is mandatory.

AI-assisted work should be clearly demonstrated where applicable.
