CIVIL FOREMAN – KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Site Supervision
- Supervise and monitor day-to-day civil construction activities at the site.
- Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Engineers, and other departments for smooth execution.
- Manpower Management
- Allocate daily work to masons, helpers, carpenters, bar benders, and other workers.
- Monitor manpower productivity and ensure optimum utilization of resources.
- Maintain discipline and proper work practices among workers.
- Quality Control
- Ensure construction activities are executed according to required quality standards.
- Check line, level, alignment, dimensions, and workmanship during execution.
- Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspections and rectification of defects.
- Material Management
- Ensure the availability of required construction materials at the work location.
- Monitor proper handling, storage, and utilization of materials.
- Inform the Site Engineer/Store Department about material requirements in advance.
- Work Execution
- Supervise activities such as RCC, masonry, plastering, flooring, shuttering, reinforcement, concreting, waterproofing, and finishing works.
- Ensure proper sequencing of activities to avoid delays.
- Follow approved construction procedures and instructions from the Engineer-in-Charge.
- Safety Compliance
- Ensure workers follow site safety rules and use appropriate PPE.
- Identify unsafe conditions and immediately report them to the concerned Safety Officer/Site Engineer.
- Maintain safe working practices at all times.
- Daily Progress Monitoring
- Monitor daily work progress against the planned schedule.
- Report completed quantities, manpower deployment, and work status to the Site Engineer.
- Highlight delays, site constraints, and resource requirements immediately.
- Coordination
- Coordinate with subcontractors, workers, engineers, surveyors, and other site teams.
- Assist in resolving site-level technical and execution issues.
- Ensure proper coordination between different trades to avoid work interference.
- Tools & Equipment
- Ensure proper availability and utilization of tools, equipment, and machinery required for the work.
- Report damaged or insufficient tools/equipment to the concerned department.
- Housekeeping
- Ensure the work area is kept clean and organized.
- Ensure proper disposal of construction debris and maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain basic records of manpower, work progress, material usage, and site activities.
- Provide accurate daily updates to the Site Engineer/Project Engineer.
- Other Duties
- Execute any additional responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager, Site Engineer, or Management.
- Support the project team in achieving targets for quality, safety, productivity, cost, and timely completion.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
