Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Continental Commis I to support the Continental Kitchen team in preparing high-quality dishes while maintaining food safety, hygiene, and kitchen standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare Continental dishes as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Assist the Chef de Partie and senior kitchen team in daily kitchen operations.
- Handle preparation of sauces, soups, salads, vegetables, pasta, and other Continental dishes.
- Ensure proper mise-en-place before service.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, portioning, and presentation.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Monitor and maintain proper storage of food items and ingredients.
- Check freshness and quality of ingredients before use.
- Minimize food wastage and ensure proper utilization of ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas.
- Follow FIFO and proper food storage practices.
- Support buffet, à la carte,



banquet, and other food production requirements.
- Coordinate effectively with other kitchen sections during service.
- Follow instructions from the Chef de Partie and Executive Chef.
- Maintain professional discipline and teamwork within the kitchen.

Skills & Competencies

- Good knowledge of Continental cuisine and basic cooking techniques.
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Valuable knife-handling and food preparation skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and presentation.
- Willingness to learn and take additional responsibilities.

Qualification

- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred.
- Relevant hotel or restaurant kitchen experience will be an advantage.

Salary

₹18,000 – ₹22,000 per month, depending on experience and skills. Plus other benefits like Service charge.
