Job Description – Surveillance Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Surveillance Manager to oversee CCTV surveillance, security operations, loss prevention, and safety across all lab-grown diamond and jewellery showrooms.

The candidate should have a strong understanding of retail sales operations, showroom processes, customer movement, jewellery handling, inventory control, and security risks. The role will be responsible for monitoring CCTV cameras across all locations and identifying suspicious activities, operational gaps, theft risks, policy violations, and unusual customer or employee behavior.

Key ResponsibilitiesCCTV & Surveillance Management

- Monitor CCTV cameras installed across all showrooms, entrances, exits, sales counters, display areas, cash counters, stock rooms, offices, and other critical areas.
- Ensure all cameras are operational, properly positioned, and providing clear footage.
- Conduct regular checks of CCTV systems, recording quality, storage, backup, and connectivity.
- Identify blind spots and recommend additional camera installations wherever required.
- Monitor live footage and conduct retrospective footage reviews when required.
- Maintain daily/weekly surveillance reports for all showrooms.
- Coordinate with CCTV vendors and technical teams for maintenance and troubleshooting.

Retail Sales & Showroom Monitoring

- Develop strong knowledge of lab-grown diamond and jewellery retail sales processes.
- Monitor customer handling, product demonstration, billing, exchange, return, and delivery processes through CCTV.
- Identify deviations from showroom SOPs and retail policies.
- Monitor high-value product handling and movement within the showroom.
- Observe customer and employee movement around display counters and restricted areas.
- Monitor showroom opening and closing procedures.




- Coordinate with Store Managers and Operations Teams regarding security-related observations.

Inventory & Loss Prevention

- Monitor movement of diamonds, jewellery, samples, and high-value inventory.
- Support investigation of stock discrepancies, missing products, unauthorized product movement, and suspected theft.
- Review CCTV footage during inventory mismatches and prepare investigation reports.
- Monitor stock-room access and restricted-area movement.
- Ensure security procedures are followed during stock transfers between showroom, warehouse, and other locations.
- Support internal audits and loss-prevention initiatives.

Employee & Customer Surveillance

- Monitor employee adherence to security and operational SOPs.
- Identify unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, collusion, negligence, or policy violations.
- Monitor unusual customer activity and potential shoplifting/theft attempts.
- Maintain confidentiality of CCTV footage and investigation information.
- Escalate critical incidents immediately to senior management.

Incident Investigation & Reporting

- Investigate incidents involving theft, fraud, inventory mismatch, employee misconduct, customer disputes, and security breaches.
- Retrieve and preserve relevant CCTV footage as evidence.
- Prepare detailed incident reports with date, time, showroom, persons involved, observations, footage reference, and recommended action.
- Coordinate with HR, Operations, Store Managers, and senior management during investigations.
- Maintain proper records of all surveillance-related incidents.

Security Compliance

- Ensure all showrooms follow company security standards and SOPs.




- Conduct periodic security audits of showrooms.
- Check CCTV coverage, emergency exits, access controls, alarms, security guards, and other security arrangements.
- Recommend improvements to strengthen showroom security and minimize operational losses.
- Conduct security awareness sessions for showroom teams where required.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in jewellery retail, diamond retail, luxury retail, lab-grown diamond showrooms, high-value retail, loss prevention, CCTV surveillance, or retail security will be preferred.

The candidate should understand the complete showroom flow:

Customer Entry → Sales Consultation → Product Selection → Diamond/Jewellery Demonstration → Product Handling → Billing → Packing → Delivery → Inventory Reconciliation

The Surveillance Manager must be able to identify security risks and process deviations at each stage.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
