HR Generalist

About the Role
We are looking for an HR Generalist to manage day-to-day HR operations and ensure a smooth employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. The role will focus on employee documentation, onboarding, HR operations, payroll, attendance, HRMS, employee engagement, performance management support, compliance coordination, and employee relations.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication and coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle employee-related matters professionally and confidentially.
Key Responsibilities
1. Employee Lifecycle Management
- Manage employee-related activities from joining to exit.
- Coordinate joining formalities, documentation, induction, and employee orientation.
- Ensure timely completion of employee documentation and HR formalities.
- Coordinate employee transfers, promotions, confirmations, and other employment-related changes.
- Manage exit formalities, clearance, exit interviews, and full & final settlement coordination.
2. HR Operations & Documentation
- Maintain accurate and updated employee records and personnel files.
- Ensure all employee documents are complete and properly maintained.
- Prepare and maintain HR letters such as appointment, confirmation, transfer, promotion, warning, experience, relieving, and other HR-related documents.
- Maintain HR trackers, reports, and employee databases.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of employee information.
3. Payroll Management & Coordination
- Coordinate the monthly payroll process and ensure timely payroll closure.
- Verify attendance, leaves, late marks, overtime, incentives, deductions, and other payroll inputs.
- Prepare and share accurate payroll inputs with the Accounts/Finance team.
- Coordinate salary revisions, arrears, deductions, incentives,
and other employee-related payroll changes.
- Address and resolve employee queries related to salary, deductions, attendance, and payroll.
- Maintain payroll-related records and ensure proper documentation.
- Coordinate with Accounts/Finance for timely salary processing.
- Support PF, ESI, TDS, and other statutory payroll-related requirements as applicable.
- Conduct payroll data checks to identify discrepancies before salary processing.
4. Employee Relations
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries and concerns.
- Address employee grievances professionally and coordinate with management where required.
- Support a positive and professional workplace environment.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee matters.
- Support effective communication between employees and management.
5. Performance Management
- Coordinate employee confirmation and performance review processes.
- Support managers in maintaining KRAs, KPIs, performance records, and review documentation.
- Track performance review timelines and ensure completion within defined timelines.
- Maintain performance-related records and reports.
6. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Plan and coordinate employee engagement activities.
- Support employee recognition, celebrations, and internal HR initiatives.
- Assist in improving employee experience and workplace culture.
- Collect employee feedback and communicate relevant concerns to management.
7. HR Policies & Compliance
- Communicate and ensure awareness of company HR policies and procedures.
- Support implementation of HR policies across departments and branches.
- Maintain statutory and compliance-related employee documentation.
- Coordinate with relevant internal teams for PF, ESI, labour compliance, and other statutory requirements.
- Ensure HR processes are followed consistently across the organization.
8. Training & Development Support
- Coordinate employee induction and orientation programs.
- Assist in identifying training requirements in coordination with department managers.
- Maintain training records and employee development documentation.
- Support internal training and learning initiatives.
9. HR Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare regular HR reports related to headcount, attendance, leave, payroll, employee movements, attrition, and other HR metrics.
- Maintain HR dashboards and trackers.
- Coordinate with Admin, Accounts, IT, and department managers for employee-related requirements.
- Ensure timely completion of HR operational tasks and documentation.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of HR operations and employee lifecycle management
- Good understanding of payroll processing and statutory deductions
- Strong knowledge of attendance and leave management
- Good knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets
- Familiarity with HRMS and biometric attendance systems
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong coordination and follow-up abilities

Qualifications
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in HR Operations / HR Generalist / HR Administration with payroll exposure.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
