Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and skilled Video Editor who can transform raw footage, creative concepts, and content ideas into engaging, high-quality videos for Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and other digital platforms.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of short-form videos, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, storytelling, pacing, transitions, subtitles, motion graphics, and social-media trends.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, promotional videos, devotional content, advertisements, and social media videos.
- Review and organize raw footage and select the best shots for final edits.
- Create engaging videos with strong hooks, effective pacing, transitions, music, and sound effects.
- Add subtitles, captions, text animations, motion graphics, and visual effects.
- Perform basic colour correction and colour grading.
- Sync and enhance voiceovers, music, dialogues, and sound effects.
- Adapt videos into different formats and aspect ratios for Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and other platforms.
- Create engaging devotional and spiritual content while maintaining the VedaMandir brand identity.
- Collaborate with the Content, Creative, Digital Marketing, and Social Media teams.
- Understand creative briefs and convert concepts into visually compelling videos.
- Keep up with current social media trends, editing styles, music, transitions, and content formats.
- Make revisions based on feedback and deliver final videos within deadlines.
- Maintain organized project files, footage, graphics, audio, and final exports.
- Review completed videos for quality, accuracy, branding,



and technical specifications.

Required Skills

- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects is preferred.
- Knowledge of Photoshop/Illustrator or similar design tools is an advantage.
- Good understanding of video storytelling, composition, pacing, and visual aesthetics.
- Knowledge of colour correction, sound design, subtitles, and motion graphics.
- Strong understanding of Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
- Ability to create attention-grabbing hooks and engaging short-form content.
- Good creative thinking and attention to detail.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Positive communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

- Motion graphics and kinetic typography.
- Basic VFX.
- Social media video editing.
- Experience creating promotional or advertising videos.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted video editing tools.
- Basic knowledge of cinematography and shooting techniques.
- Experience in devotional, spiritual, media, or digital-content industries.

Eligibility

- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Visual Communication, Film Making, Multimedia, Mass Communication, or a related field is preferred.
- 1–3 years of professional video editing experience.
- Freshers with an exceptional portfolio may also be considered.

Portfolio Requirement

Candidates should share a portfolio/showreel demonstrating their previous work.
