About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Furniture Designer with strong expertise in furniture design, production drawings, BOM preparation, costing, material planning, and new product development.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with furniture manufacturing teams and be capable of taking a product from concept and design through detailed drawings, costing, prototyping, production, and final execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop detailed production and working drawings for modular, office, retail, kitchen, wardrobe, hotel, and other furniture products.
- Prepare BOM, material specifications, cutting lists, hardware lists, and material requisitions.
- Develop accurate furniture costing / zero costing and support project commercial validation.
- Coordinate closely with production, procurement, quality, and project teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Lead new product development, prototype development, testing, and design validation.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, material utilization, cost, durability, and production efficiency.
- Review drawings and identify design deviations, manufacturing issues, and technical discrepancies.
- Conduct site visits and coordinate with clients/project teams for measurements, technical clarification, and installation requirements when required.
- Provide technical inputs to production and resolve design-related manufacturing issues.
- Support development of customized furniture according to client/project requirements.
- Ensure drawings, specifications, BOMs, and other technical documentation are accurate and production-ready.
- Maintain design standards, documentation, and revision control.





Required Skills & Experience

- 8+ years of relevant experience in Furniture Design / Product Development / Furniture Manufacturing.
- Strong experience in modular and office furniture.
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and technical/production drawing preparation.
- Strong understanding of BOM, costing, cutting lists, material planning, and hardware specifications.
- Good knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes and production machinery.
- Experience with materials such as MDF, plywood, particle board, block board, laminate, veneer, acrylic, Corian, solid wood, MS and SS.
- Experience in prototype development and current product development.
- Understanding of CNC, cutting, routing, punching, bending, drilling, edge-banding and other relevant manufacturing processes.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with production, procurement, quality, vendors, and clients.
- Strong problem-solving and technical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as lead and coordinate design activities.

Preferred

- Experience in office furniture, retail fixtures, modular kitchens, wardrobes, hotel furniture, or institutional furniture.
- Knowledge of 3D furniture/product-design software such as SolidWorks, SketchUp, Inventor, Fusion 360, or similar.
- Experience with CNC programming or manufacturing software.
- Experience working with large-scale furniture projects or commercial interiors.
- Knowledge of ISO/QMS documentation and manufacturing audits.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
