Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced PPC Engineer with 4–7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
The candidate will be responsible for production planning, material planning, scheduling, monitoring production
activities, coordinating with various departments and ensuring timely completion of customer requirements. The
candidate should have strong knowledge of production planning, capacity planning, MRP, inventory control,
production scheduling and ERP-based PPC operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans based on customer requirements and available resources.

- Prepare production schedules according to customer orders, delivery commitments and production capacity.

- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room and Dispatch departments for
smooth production planning.

- Monitor production progress against the planned schedule and take corrective actions for deviations.

- Prepare and monitor Production Plan vs. Actual Production reports.

- Plan material requirements based on production schedules and coordinate with Purchase and Stores for timely
availability.

- Monitor raw material, WIP and finished goods inventory to avoid shortages and excess inventory.

- Generate and monitor MRP requirements through ERP software.

- Prepare and release production orders/work orders as per the production plan.

- Check machine capacity, manpower availability, tooling requirements and other production resources before
finalizing schedules.

- Monitor machine loading and optimize machine utilization.

- Follow up on pending production orders and ensure timely completion.





- Identify production bottlenecks and coordinate with concerned departments for resolution.

- Coordinate with Purchase for pending raw material and bought-out items required for production.

- Coordinate with Stores for material availability and issue requirements.

- Coordinate with Quality for inspection status, rejection, rework and quality-related production delays.

- Coordinate with Maintenance and Tool Room for machine/tool availability and breakdown-related delays.

- Monitor rejection, rework, shortages and production losses and take appropriate corrective actions.

- Maintain proper PPC records, reports and production planning documentation.

- Prepare MIS reports related to production, planning, inventory and delivery performance.

- Ensure optimum utilization of available manpower, machines, materials and production capacity.

- Support management in improving production efficiency and reducing manufacturing lead time.

- Track customer delivery commitments and highlight potential delays in advance.

- Participate in Kaizen, 5S, TPM and continuous improvement activities.

- Ensure PPC activities are carried out as per company procedures and quality standards.

Required Skills

- Solid knowledge of Production Planning & Control (PPC).

- Good knowledge of MRP and production scheduling.

- Experience in capacity planning and machine loading.

- Knowledge of raw material, WIP and finished goods inventory management.

- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows.

- Experience working with ERP/MRP software.

- Good knowledge of MS Excel,



including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and production MIS reports.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Good coordination with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality and Dispatch teams.

- Ability to handle multiple production priorities and meet delivery schedules.

- Good communication and follow-up skills.

- Ability to identify bottlenecks and take timely corrective actions.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 4–7 years of relevant experience in PPC / Production Planning in a manufacturing/engineering company.

- Experience in precision engineering, sheet metal, CNC/VMC, machining or automotive component
manufacturing will be preferred.

- Candidate should have practical experience in production planning and shop-floor coordination.

- Experience with ERP-based production planning and MRP will be an added advantage.

- Should be comfortable working closely with the production team on the shop floor.

- Should have good knowledge of BOM, routing, work orders and production lead time.

- Candidate should be willing to work at Silvassa.
