· Manage daily factory operations across mechanical assembly, machining, tool-room work, fitting.
· Prepare and execute production plans based on customer orders, delivery schedules, available capacity, and material readiness.
· Meet production and dispatch commitments while maintaining the required quality and dimensional accuracy.
· Supervise CNC and conventional machining operations, including tooling, fixtures, machine utilization, and process planning.
· Review CAD models, engineering drawings, tolerances, specifications, and bills of materials before production.
· Coordinate with design and engineering teams to establish manufacturable and cost-effective production processes.
· Oversee manual fitting and assembly of mechanical components and precision measuring instruments.
· Establish and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, production controls, and inspection checkpoints.
· Monitor productivity, rejection, rework, material wastage, machine downtime, work in progress, and production costs.
· Plan preventive maintenance and ensure effective use of CNC machines, conventional machines, tools, jigs, and fixtures.
· Lead production supervisors, machine operators, fitters, assemblers, helpers, and other shop-floor personnel.
· Plan manpower deployment, training, performance monitoring, and workforce discipline.
· Coordinate with purchase, stores, quality, design, sales, and dispatch teams.
· Maintain appropriate stock of raw materials, components,
consumables, tools, and critical spares.
· Support vendor development and assess outsourced machining and fabrication for quality, cost, and delivery.
· Maintain compliance with the company quality management system and applicable ISO procedures.
· Report production, quality, delivery, manpower, downtime, and improvement results to management.
Required Qualifications and Experience
· B.Tech or B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering is mandatory.
· At least 10 years of experience in mechanical manufacturing or production.
· Proven experience in an MSME manufacturing environment is mandatory.
· Hands-on experience in a tool-room or precision-engineering setup.
· Robust knowledge of mechanical fabrication, machining, fitting, and manual assembly.
· Working knowledge of CNC machines, machining processes, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, and conventional machines.
· Ability to interpret CAD models, engineering drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, and manufacturing specifications.
· Experience leading shop-floor teams and coordinating multiple production activities.
· Knowledge of production planning, quality control, preventive maintenance, inventory management, and vendor coordination.
· Experience producing precision instruments, gauges, tools, fixtures, or other engineered products is preferred.
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
