Sabine Hospitals & Research Centre Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a compassionate and experienced Staff Nurse – Lactation Counsellor to join our maternity and women’s healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide breastfeeding and lactation counselling to antenatal and postnatal mothers.
- Educate mothers on proper breastfeeding techniques, positioning and attachment.
- Support mothers in managing common breastfeeding challenges.
- Assist mothers with breastfeeding initiation and maintenance after delivery.
- Provide guidance on expressed breast milk, storage and feeding practices.
- Monitor and support newborn feeding and maternal breastfeeding progress.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain proper counselling records and documentation.
- Conduct awareness and educational sessions for mothers and families.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and infection-control standards.





Qualifications

- GNM / B.Sc Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid nursing registration.
- Certification in Lactation Counselling / Breastfeeding Support will be an advantage.
- Previous experience in maternity, postnatal care or lactation counselling preferred.

Skills Required

- Good communication and counselling skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Solid knowledge of breastfeeding and newborn care.
- Ability to work effectively with mothers, babies and families.
- Good documentation and interpersonal skills.
