About the Role

Aharada Education, in collaboration with IIMT University, Meerut, is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Assistant Professor – Tourism to join the academic team.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the tourism and travel industry, excellent communication skills, and a practical approach to teaching. The faculty member will be responsible for classroom teaching, practical learning, student mentoring, academic coordination, and industry-oriented activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions related to Tourism and Travel.
- Teach subjects such as Tourism Management, Travel Management, Destination Management, Tourism Marketing, Sustainable Tourism, Cultural Tourism, Hospitality, Tour Operations, and related areas.
- Prepare lesson plans, course materials, assignments, presentations, question papers, and other academic resources.
- Conduct practical activities, field visits, case studies, workshops, and industry-based learning sessions.
- Guide students in academic projects, internships, research activities, competitions, and presentations.
- Provide students with practical exposure to the tourism, travel, hospitality, and destination management sectors.
- Integrate current tourism trends, industry practices, case studies, and real-world examples into classroom teaching.
- Maintain attendance, assessment records, student performance reports, and other academic documentation.
- Mentor students regarding academic performance, internships, career opportunities, and professional development.
- Support seminars, conferences, workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits, and tourism-related events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, tourism boards, airlines, and other industry organizations.




- Participate in curriculum development and academic quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to research, publications, consultancy, and other academic activities.
- Support departmental administrative and academic responsibilities as required.

Required Qualifications

- Master's degree in Tourism Management, Travel & Tourism, Hospitality Management, Tourism Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Travel, Hospitality, or a relevant discipline.
- Candidates with a Ph.D. will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of tourism and travel industry concepts.
- Positive communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deliver both theoretical and practical learning.
- Freshers and candidates with relevant academic or industry experience may apply.

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of Tour Operations, Destination Management, Travel Agency Operations, Tourism Marketing, Sustainable Tourism, Hospitality, and Tourism Planning.
- Industry experience in travel agencies, tour operations, hospitality, airlines, tourism boards, or destination management will be an advantage.
- Experience in organizing educational tours, field visits, workshops, and tourism events.
- Strong student mentoring and classroom management skills.
- Research and publication experience will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of travel and tourism technology and online booking platforms will be preferred.
