Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced DDI Engineer with hands-on expertise in DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM) technologies, particularly EfficientIP (EIP). The candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, administration, troubleshooting, and migration of enterprise DDI services across global environments while ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

DNS Administration

- Manage and maintain Authoritative and Recursive DNS services.
- Create, modify, and delete DNS zones and records (A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, PTR, TXT, SRV).
- Configure DNS forwarding, conditional forwarding, delegation, and zone transfers.
- Troubleshoot DNS resolution issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
- Monitor DNS server health, performance, and availability.

DHCP Management

- Configure and maintain DHCP scopes, reservations, exclusions, and failover.
- Manage DHCP lease assignments and troubleshoot client IP allocation issues.
- Implement DHCP high-availability solutions.
- Support DHCP migration and integration activities.

IP Address Management (IPAM)

- Maintain IP address inventory and subnet management.
- Plan and allocate IP address space for data centers, branches, and cloud environments.
- Manage IP utilization reports and capacity planning.
- Ensure IP address assignment follows organizational standards.

EfficientIP Administration

- Administer EfficientIP SOLIDserver components.
- Configure and manage DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services within the EIP platform.
- Manage user roles, permissions, workflows, and automation.
- Perform system health checks, upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery activities.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation and runbooks.

Migration & Project Activities

- Support DDI migration projects from legacy platforms such as VitalQIP to EfficientIP.
- Validate migrated DNS zones, DHCP scopes, and IPAM data.




- Coordinate migration and cutover activities during approved change windows.
- Perform pre- and post-migration validation.
- Support rollback and contingency planning activities.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

- Analyze DNS, DHCP, and IPAM service alerts.
- Perform packet captures and protocol-level troubleshooting.
- Work with application, network, security, and cloud teams to resolve complex issues.
- Conduct problem management activities and provide RCA documentation.

Security & Compliance

- Implement DNS security best practices.
- Support audit requirements and compliance activities.
- Manage role-based access controls and security policies.
- Participate in vulnerability remediation and patch management initiatives.

Required Skills

- Robust understanding of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM concepts.
- Hands-on experience with EfficientIP SOLIDserver.
- Experience with VitalQIP environments and migration projects.
- Knowledge of BIND DNS and DNS architecture.
- Experience with Linux (RHEL/CentOS).
- Understanding of TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VLANs, and Network Services.
- Experience with DNS troubleshooting tools:
- nslookup
- dig
- tcpdump
- Wireshark
- Knowledge of DNSSEC, DDNS, and DNS forwarding concepts.
- Familiarity with ITIL Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes.

Preferred Skills

- Python, REST APIs, or automation scripting.
- Multi-cloud DNS integration (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience with Infoblox, BlueCat, or other DDI platforms.
- Knowledge of SD-WAN, Firewall, and Network Security technologies.
- Experience with enterprise DDI migrations and transformation programs.

Experience

- 5+ years of experience in DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) administration.
- 2+ years of hands-on EfficientIP administration experience.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or global DDI environments.

Certifications (Preferred)

- EfficientIP Certified Administrator (ECA)
- CCNA / CCNP
- RHCSA / RHCE
- ITIL Foundation

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
