We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our shipyard project team. The role involves coordinating and supporting shipbuilding, ship repair, dry-docking, conversion, and offshore projects.

This is a multi-disciplinary and trainable position. Candidates do not need to be experts in every shipyard department. We are looking for engineers with good technical fundamentals, coordination skills, and the willingness to learn and work across different shipyard functions.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate day-to-day project execution and ensure work progresses according to schedule.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Planning, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and Commissioning teams.
- Gain practical exposure to Hull, Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Outfitting, Painting and Commissioning activities.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, work packages and project requirements.
- Monitor project progress, manpower, materials and work fronts.
- Coordinate with supervisors, subcontractors, vendors and client representatives.
- Follow up on material requirements, technical queries, inspections and approvals.
- Assist with project planning, progress reporting and daily/weekly project updates.
- Identify project delays, technical issues and resource requirements and coordinate corrective actions.
- Participate in inspections, testing, commissioning, trials and project handover.
- Maintain project documentation, punch lists, action trackers and completion records.




- Ensure work is carried out according to drawings, specifications, quality standards and HSE requirements.
- Take ownership of assigned work packages and progressively manage larger project responsibilities.

Training & Development

The selected candidate will receive on-the-job training and cross-functional exposure to different shipyard departments.

The objective is to develop a Project Engineer with a broad understanding of the complete shipyard project lifecycle, from planning and fabrication through installation, testing, commissioning and final delivery.

Requirements

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Marine, Naval Architecture, Electrical, Production, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
- 0–5 years of relevant experience.
- Fresh graduates with robust technical knowledge and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and basic technical documentation.
- Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a hands-on shipyard setting.
- Willingness to work with multiple departments and learn new technical disciplines.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, vendors and clients.
