GNM / B.Sc. Nursing with valid nursing registration. Infection control experience is preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Monitor hand hygiene practices among hospital staff.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and infection control precautions.
- Conduct regular infection control rounds and audits.
- Monitor biomedical waste segregation and disposal.
- Monitor cleaning, disinfection and sterilization practices.
- Maintain records of hospital-acquired infections.
- Report infection control problems to the Infection Control Officer.
- Conduct infection control training for hospital staff.
- Monitor needle-stick injuries and ensure timely reporting.
- Maintain infection control registers and reports.
- Participate in Infection Control Committee meetings.
- Ensure compliance with hospital infection control policies and applicable NABH standards.
