Key responsibilities:
Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, budget, and project requirements.
Develop design concepts, layouts, mood boards, and space plans.
Select furniture, lighting, flooring, colors, fabrics, finishes, and decorative elements.
Prepare drawings, presentations, and 2D/3D design visualizations.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
Ensure designs comply with safety standards, building regulations, and project specifications.
Prepare cost estimates and help manage project budgets.




Monitor project progress and conduct site visits to ensure the design is implemented correctly.
Keep up with current interior-design trends, materials, and technologies.

Common skills: Creativity, space planning, attention to detail, communication, project management, budgeting, and proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools.
Typical qualifications: A degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is often preferred, along with a solid design portfolio.
