Role Description The Junior Accountant role at Tyche Media is a full time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The person in this role will support daily accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, processing invoices, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable. Responsibilities include reconciling bank statements, preparing basic financial reports, and supporting monthly and annual closing activities.



The Junior Accountant will collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate documentation, compliance with company policies, and timely updates of financial records. This role also involves assisting senior finance team members with audits, budgeting tasks, and improving accounting processes as needed.
Qualifications

- Strong foundation in basic accounting principles, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar tools) and MS Excel for financial data management.
- Ability to process invoices, manage accounts payable/receivable, and support bank and vendor reconciliations.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret financial information and identify discrepancies.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; relevant internships or up to 2 years of experience in accounting are an advantage.
- Familiarity with basic taxation, compliance, and reporting requirements in India is beneficial.
