Role Description

The Senior Engineer / Group Leader Maintenance is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolar, responsible for leading maintenance activities across machinery, equipment, and plant utilities. This role oversees a team of maintenance technicians, plans preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, and ensures efficient execution to minimize downtime. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing equipment issues, coordinating repairs, managing spare parts inventory, and maintaining accurate maintenance records. The role works closely with production, quality, and safety teams to improve equipment reliability, support continuous improvement initiatives, and uphold compliance with safety and environmental standards. The Senior Engineer / Group Leader Maintenance also contributes to maintenance-related training,



performance monitoring, and implementation of new technologies or processes to enhance overall plant performance.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong technical skills in mechatronics or electrical maintenance, including hands-on experience with industrial machinery and automation systems.
- Candidates should possess leadership and team management skills, with the ability to supervise maintenance staff, delegate tasks, and drive accountability.
- Candidates should possess planning and organizational skills, including experience in preventive and predictive maintenance scheduling and spare parts management.
- Candidates should possess problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose equipment failures, interpret technical documentation, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Candidates should possess communication and collaboration skills to work closely with production, quality, and safety teams and to document maintenance activities clearly.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or a related field; experience in automotive or heavy manufacturing environments is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of safety standards, environmental regulations, and continuous improvement methodologies (such as TPM, Kaizen, or Lean) is advantageous.
- Ability to work on-site in Kolar, adapt to shift-based operations, and expertised in PLC, HMI, Sevo, Robot and other automation equipments, maintenance software or SAP tools effectively.
