Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to work on a broad range of data
analytics, data visualization, and business intelligence initiatives across multiple
industries. The role requires strong analytical skills, frequent client interaction, and
the ability to translate business problems into effective analytical and BI solutions
while collaborating closely with Data Engineering teams.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Tableau, along with a
good understanding of Power BI and DAX, and practical experience in migrating
Tableau dashboards and reports to Power BI.
Key Responsibilities
 Work on a wide range of data analytics, data visualization, and business
intelligence problems across various industries.
 Engage with clients and business stakeholders to understand business
context, objectives, and challenges.
 Analyze and document business processes, mapping end-to-end workflows
using visual formats such as process flow diagrams.
 Translate business problems into analytical solutions by defining metrics,
KPIs, dashboards, and reports.
 Develop, publish, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations
using Tableau and Power BI.
 Perform Tableau-to-Power BI migration, including assessment of existing
Tableau dashboards, reports, data sources, calculations, and business logic.
 Translate Tableau functionality such as calculated fields, LOD expressions,
filters, parameters, and data models into equivalent Power BI
implementations.
 Develop and optimize Power BI reports, data models, measures, and DAX
expressions.




 Perform storyboarding to structure analytical insights and present clear,
compelling narratives to stakeholders.
 Collaborate closely with Data Engineering teams by providing transparent and
detailed requirements.
 Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and adherence to best practices in
reporting and analytics delivery.

 Perform QC checks and validation of reports and dashboards before client
delivery, particularly during migration projects.
 Participate in regular client and internal meetings and prepare clear MoM
(Minutes of Meeting) documentation.
 Maintain proper documentation for dashboards, metrics, data logic, business
rules, and migration activities.
 Track work items, enhancements, and issues using JIRA.
Mandatory Skills & Requirements
 3–6 years of relevant Data Analytics / BI experience with a strong focus on
problem-solving and advanced BI solutions.
 Strong hands-on experience with Tableau, including:
o Dashboard development and publishing
o Calculated fields, filters, parameters, and LOD calculations
o Data blending and joins
o Row-Level Security (RLS)
o Replacing and managing data sources
 Hands-on experience in Tableau-to-Power BI migration projects is
mandatory.
 Good hands-on understanding of Power BI, including:




o Report and dashboard development
o Data modelling
o Measures and calculated columns
o Power Query
o RLS
o Report publishing and workspace management
 Strong understanding of DAX, including writing and optimizing measures, filter
context, calculated tables/columns, and commonly used DAX functions.
 Ability to assess existing Tableau dashboards and translate their business
logic, calculations, data models, and visualizations into Power BI.
 Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, validation, and
analysis.
 Ability to perform QC checks and validation on dashboards and reports.

 Experience preparing MoM, requirement documents, functional
documentation, and migration-related documentation.
 Hands-on experience working with JIRA for task tracking and project
management.

 Experience in BI modernization, dashboard rationalization, or
visualization migration initiatives.
 Understanding of best practices for Power BI performance optimization and
DAX optimization.
Education
 Bachelor’s degree in B.E., B.Tech, or an equivalent discipline.
