Role Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned SAP FICO (Financial Accounting - Controlling) Senior Consultant to lead finance transformation projects, design enterprise-grade accounting solutions, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients. The candidate will drive the full-cycle delivery of SAP FI and CO modules while ensuring alignment with statutory, regulatory, and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end SAP FICO implementations, upgrades, and support projects across industries.

- Configure and implement core FI components: General Ledger (New GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Bank Accounting, and Travel Management.

- Design and configure Controlling (CO) components: Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Internal Orders, Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA).

- Conduct fit-gap workshops, process blueprinting, and produce functional design documents.

- Integrate SAP FICO with SD, MM, HR/Payroll, PP, and PS modules.

- Design chart of accounts, financial statement versions, and fiscal year variants for global deployments.

- Manage period-end closing activities: depreciation runs, revaluation, accruals, and reconciliation.

- Implement document splitting, parallel ledgers, and multi-currency accounting.

- Support tax configuration: GST, VAT, withholding tax, and tax reporting.

- Oversee data migration of financial master data and open items using LSMW, BAPI, or Migration Cockpit.

- Coordinate with ABAP teams for custom reports, enhancements (BADIs/user exits), and interfaces.

- Drive UAT, resolve issues, and ensure successful go-live and hypercare.





- Mentor junior consultants and build internal capability.

- Maintain solution documentation, training materials, and operational runbooks.

Required Qualifications - Skills:

- 10+ years of SAP FICO functional consulting experience.

- Minimum 3 full-lifecycle SAP implementations (S/4HANA preferred).

- Deep expertise in Current GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and multi-ledger architecture.

- Strong Controlling background: CO-CCA, CO-PCA, CO-PA, and Product Costing.

- Fund Accounting - COPA.

- Hands-on S/4HANA Finance experience including Universal Journal (ACDOCA) and Central Finance.

- Experience with SAP Activate methodology and project governance.

- Working knowledge of ABAP debugging for issue resolution.

- Familiarity with financial regulations: IFRS, GAAP, GST, VAT, and local statutory reporting.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.

- SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA for Financial Accounting (preferred).

Nice-to-Have:

- Experience with SAP Group Reporting, BPC, or SAC for financial consolidation and planning.

- Exposure to SAP Treasury - Risk Management (TRM) or In-House Cash (IHC).

- Knowledge of SAP Revenue Accounting - Reporting (RAR / IFRS 15 / 16).

- Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps for Finance.

- Global rollout experience with multi-country, multi-currency deployments.

Education:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, CA/CPA, or a related field.

- SAP Certification in FI / CO / S/4HANA Finance is an added advantage.

- Greenfield project experience is mandatory.
