Role Purpose:

As a PGT Science Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the scientific understanding of our students. You will inspire them to explore the wonders of science while developing essential skills that will serve them throughout their academic and professional lives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum standards for Science, Life Science, Earth and Space Science, and Physical Science.
- Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations to enhance students' hands-on learning experience.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through tests, projects, and presentations, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Foster a collaborative classroom environment that encourages inquiry, creativity, and teamwork among students.
- Utilize data analysis to track student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development sessions to stay current with educational best practices.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents,



and colleagues to support student learning and address any concerns.

Team Collaboration:

You will collaborate closely with fellow educators in the Science department, sharing resources and strategies to ensure a cohesive educational experience for all students. You will also engage with other departments to integrate multidisciplinary approaches to learning.

Requirements:

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field.

Experience Requirements:

3-5 years of teaching experience in a secondary education setting, preferably in a PGT role.

Technical Skills:

- Strong knowledge of Science, Life Science, Earth and Space Science, and Physical Science.
- Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development.
- Laboratory skills for conducting experiments and guiding students.
- Data analysis skills to assess and track student performance.

Soft Skills:

- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address classroom challenges effectively.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.

Certifications:

Teaching certification in Science Education is preferred.
