Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

- As a Senior Engineer Lead the design for OLE design Schemes.
- Delivery and management of the production of technical designs for OLE including Layout Plans, Cross Sections, Allocations, Isolation Diagrams updates, bonding designs, and supporting reports and calculations.
- Ensuring designs are delivered in line with relevant, current design standards, are constructable, and apply Safe by Design principles.
- Communicate effectively with other design/construction disciplines and sub-contractors
- Respond to design queries during construction phase and attend online meetings if required.

Commercial

- Maintain cost effective standards for OLE designs
- Contribute to the development of continuous improvement plans
- Develop and maintain client relationships as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements

- Proven designer experience of significant Overhead Line technical design
- Comprehensive knowledge and Experienced in OLEMI and other OLE ranges i.e. UKMS, Series-1, Series-2, Mk3B, GEFF, Mk1, SICAT, SNCF,



UK1 etc.
- Familiar with Isolation diagrams and their update process.
- Understanding of Earthing & Bonding required for electrification
- Proficient in Bentley MicroStation CAD software
- Excellent communication and organization Skills.
- Understanding of CSM-RA & Health and Safety including CDM
- Experience in managing teams.
- Candidates will be able to provide experience of working in a 3D common data environment working to BIM procedures and practices.
- Ability to develop OLE designs through the different stages of the project life cycle for complex sites
- Knowledge of the design processes of other rail disciplines and how they may impact OLE designs

Preferred Qualifications

- BEng or B Tech or MEng degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering + 7 year Exp
- Chartered Engineer (or working towards) and member of a skilled institution.
