PLC and Control Systems Electronics Engineer Job Description Who you are/: Create, evaluate, and test circuits for analogue, digital, microcontrollers, and power supplies; examine PCB schematic capture, component selection, layer stackups, signal/power integrity, and thermal dissipation performance.
Work with production teams to optimise Surface Mount Technology /(SMT/) and Through/-Hole Technology /(THT/) assembly; address component placement concerns, reflow profile variances, and solder joint faults /(bridging, tombstoning, voiding/).
To validate constructed PCBAs prior to final casing and shipment, create, program, and manage automated Functional Test and In/-Circuit Test systems, test jigs, and diagnostic firmware. Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analysers to find short circuits, faulty integrated circuits,



or design marginalities.
Conduct component/-level troubleshooting on defective electronic boards rejected during manufacturing or field trials.
