Job Description

The candidate should have a basic understanding of EHS principles and a willingness to learn and work in a manufacturing/technology workplace.

Key Responsibilities

1. EHS Management System

- Support the EHS team in implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 requirements.
- Assist in preparation, review and maintenance of EHS documents and records.
- Support IMS/EHS awareness programs and employee communication.
- Assist in internal audit preparation and compliance tracking.

2. Risk Assessment

- Assist in conducting and updating HIRA
- Support preparation and review of JSA/JHA (Job Safety Analysis) for various activities.
- Participate in workplace safety inspections and identify unsafe acts/conditions.
- Support tracking and closure of EHS observations.
- Assist in identifying hazards related to machinery, electrical systems, chemicals, batteries, fire safety and workplace activities.

3. Environmental Management

- Support Aspect & Impact Assessment activities as per ISO 14001.
- Assist in monitoring environmental aspects such as waste, energy, water, emissions and resource consumption.
- Support hazardous waste, e-waste, battery waste and other waste management activities.
- Assist in maintaining environmental records and compliance documentation.

4. Incident & Accident Investigation

- Support preparation of Accident / Incident / Near-Miss Investigation Reports.
- Assist in identifying Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using methods such as 5 Why and Fishbone Analysis.
- Support development and tracking of Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Maintain incident and near-miss records and follow up on action closure.

5. Training & Awareness

- Assist in conducting EHS induction and awareness training.
- Support toolbox talks, safety campaigns and EHS awareness activities.




- Assist in preparing safety posters, presentations, communication material and EHS dashboards.

6. Compliance & Documentation

- Assist in maintaining statutory and regulatory compliance records.
- Support preparation of EHS reports, checklists and registers.
- Assist in monitoring compliance against applicable EHS legal requirements.
- Support external/internal audits and closure of audit observations.
- Support implementation of Battery safety procedures across storage, handling, charging, testing, transportation and disposal activities.
- Support Battery HIRA/JSA for battery-related activities.
- Assist in identifying hazards associated with battery ensuring proper battery storage, segregation and identification as per EHS procedures.
- Support inspections of battery storage and charging areas for unsafe conditions.
- Support battery waste management and disposal through authorized recyclers in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Participate in awareness/training programs on Battery Safety, Emergency Response and Battery Waste Management.
- Assist in periodic inspection of battery charging/testing areas, fire protection systems and emergency arrangements.
- Ensure battery safety requirements are incorporated into relevant SOPs, HIRA, JSA and emergency preparedness plans.

Educational Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Industrial Safety / MSc. Environment Science or related discipline.
- Fresh graduates with relevant EHS knowledge and interest may also be considered.
