Job DescriptionJob Title: Senior Library AssistantDepartment: LibraryWork Location: Sri City, Tada, Andhra PradeshReporting to: Deputy LibrarianPosition: Full -TimeExperience: 3 years professional experience as a Library Assistant in a University Library or a recognized Research Institution.)Educational Qualification: Master's Degree in Library Science / Library and Information Science / Information Science / Documentation with at least 55% marks or an equivalent professional degree with a consistently good academic record and sound knowledge of computerized library services.Key Responsibilities:Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Support and coordinate the processing, classification, labelling, barcoding, shelving and maintenance of library collections using Koha and RFID systems.Coordinate the updating and maintenance of bibliographic, accession, circulation, invoice and patron records in Koha.Facilitate circulation,



user services and follow-up of overdue books and outstanding dues.Participate in physical verification and reconciliation of library collections and records.Assist with maintaining library records, files, invoices and reports.Contribute to the maintenance and updating of the Library website, Web-OPAC and DSpace.Provide support in digital library services and e-resource management.Collaborate with the Library team on national and institutional library programmes and initiatives.Work closely with Library staff to ensure smooth and effective day-to-day operations.Work on a rotational shift basis between 9:00 AM to 1:00 AMNote: The roles and responsibilities outlined above are not meant to be an exhaustive list of tasks.
