nRole Purpose
nManage, maintain, and optimize database systems supporting Americana's business-critical applications, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and compliance across on-premise and cloud (Azure/Oracle) environments.
nKey Responsibilities

- n
- Administer and maintain MS SQL Server and Oracle Database instances across production, UAT, and dev environmentsn
- Monitor database performance, tune queries/indexes, and resolve bottlenecks proactivelyn
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies; conduct periodic DR drillsn
- Implement and maintain database security — user roles, access controls, encryption, audit loggingn
- Support Azure SQL Database / Managed Instance provisioning, scaling, and cost optimizationn
- Collaborate with application teams (Flutter/.NET/Oracle OIC) on schema design, data modeling, and integration performancen
- Manage patching, version upgrades, and capacity planningn




- Set up and maintain monitoring/alerting (Azure Monitor, SQL Profiler, OEM) for proactive issue detectionn
- Support data migration activities during platform modernization projectsn
- Maintain documentation: runbooks, SOPs, DR plans, and change recordsn
- Participate in on-call rotation for production incident support (P1/P2)n

nRequired Skills & Experience
nCore DB - MS SQL Server (mandatory); Oracle DB exposure preferred
nCloud - Azure (SQL DB/Managed Instance, Azure Monitor); Oracle Cloud exposure a plus
nSkills - Backup/recovery, HA/DR (Always On, replication), performance tuning, T-SQL/PL-SQL
nTools - SSMS, Oracle Enterprise Manager, monitoring/alerting tools
nDomain - Retail/QSR or FMCG industry experience preferred (not mandatory)
nSoft Skills - Incident ownership, cross-team collaboration, transparent documentation habits
