Job Purpose
To operate the fabric spreading machine efficiently and ensure accurate, smooth, and defect-free fabric spreading as per production and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the fabric spreading machine safely and efficiently.
- Spread fabric according to the required length, width, ply, and lay plan.
- Ensure proper fabric alignment, tension, and smoothness during spreading.
- Check fabric for defects, stains, holes, shade variations, and other quality issues.
- Maintain the required ply height and spreading accuracy.
- Avoid wrinkles, folds, overlaps, and fabric distortion.
- Follow cutting plans, production schedules, and supervisor instructions.
- Monitor machine performance and report any breakdowns or abnormalities.
- Handle fabric rolls carefully to prevent damage and wastage.
- Maintain proper records of fabric spreading and material usage.
- Keep the spreading machine and work area clean and organized.
- Follow company safety, quality, and productivity standards.

- Knowledge of fabric types and spreading methods.
- Ability to operate and adjust spreading machines.
- Valuable attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to identify basic fabric defects.
- Ability to achieve production targets with minimum fabric wastage.
- Basic machine troubleshooting skills.

Qualification & Experience
- Qualification: No specific qualification required; basic education preferred.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in fabric spreading or garment cutting operations preferred.
- Freshers: Candidates with relevant training may also be considered.
