The Windows Engineering System is the backbone that lets Windows engineers design, code, build, validate, and ship at massive scale, securely and with high quality.
As a Software Development Engineer II on the India Development Center team in Bangalore, you will focus on building tools, improving services, optimizing performance, and contributing to developer productivity across the Windows build setting. You will design routing logic for Windows workloads, understand their characteristics and current routing data, profile workloads, and intelligently place them on the most optimal cost compute resources to drive meaningful efficiency gains for engineers and customers.
In this role, you will apply core software engineering excellence to design, implement, test, and maintain high-quality, secure,



and reliable features that power build infrastructure at scale. You will collaborate with internal partners to understand workload requirements, create test strategies, and use automation, telemetry, and experimentation to validate and continuously improve your solutions. Your work will directly contribute to optimizing compute resources within the build ecosystem and reducing overall build costs for clearly defined workload characteristics, helping the team deliver more with less.
