Responsible for planning, supervising, executing and monitoring the installation of domestic, bulk and AMR-compatible water meters, valves, fittings and associated piping works, ensuring quality, safety, productivity and compliance with project specifications.
Job Description
- Supervise installation of water meters, valves, fittings, chambers and associated piping works.
- Ensure correct meter orientation, alignment, accessibility and leak-proof installation as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate installation of AMR/AMI-compatible meters with electrical/automation teams where required.
- Verify meter serial numbers, meter locations and consumer details and maintain accurate installation records.
- Plan daily installation activities, manpower deployment and work fronts to achieve project targets.
- Coordinate with contractors, plumbers, supervisors and client representatives for smooth site execution.
- Inspect completed installations and conduct leakage/hydro testing wherever applicable.
- Prepare snag lists and ensure timely rectification before client inspection and handover.
- Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR), installation registers, material consumption and reconciliation reports.
- Support preparation of measurement sheets, quantity records and billing documentation.
- Attend client inspections, joint measurements, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, specifications and safety procedures.

Candidate Profile
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in water supply, pipeline, plumbing or water meter installation projects.
- Experience in municipal corporation / urban water supply projects will be preferred.
Experience in managing installation teams and contractors will be an advantage
