Role Description
Contineu is seeking an experienced Senior Android Developer to join our dynamic and inclusive team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Android development, with additional experience in iOS, and a proven track record of building and scaling applications from scratch.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android and iOS applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers and other developers
- Implement new features and optimize existing ones
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices

Requirements




- 5+ years of professional Android development experience
- Proven experience in developing Android applications from scratch and scaling them
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different devices
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and libraries
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team setting

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Flutter
- Good to have: Experience with Kotlin or Java
- Good to have: Experience with Swift or Objective-C
- Good to have: Experience with iOS app development
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
