We are looking for a skilled and self-driven Backend Engineer to lead and implement our ONDC integration efforts. You will work closely with product managers, ONDC protocol teams, and cross-functional engineering groups to develop and maintain reliable APIs and backend infrastructure aligned with ONDC specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services and APIs to integrate with ONDC protocols.
- Work with KiranaPro's product and tech team to ensure compliance with ONDC buyer/seller app standards.
- Handle data modeling, performance tuning, and secure API development.
- Collaborate with external ONDC interfaces like Beckn protocol and gateway services.
- Manage and monitor ONDC transaction flows (discovery, ordering, fulfillment, settlement).
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
- Conduct code reviews, write unit and integration tests.
- Maintain high availability and reliability for ONDC-related services.
- Integrate with logistics, payments, and catalog management systems as part of ONDC flow.

Requirements




- 2–6 years of experience in backend development.
- Robust proficiency in Node.js, Typescript.
- Good experience with REST APIs, WebSockets, and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.
- Understanding of API security, OAuth2, JWT, and related standards.
- Experience with Docker, ORM's like Prisma, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Familiarity with ONDC or Beckn protocol is highly preferred.
- Solid problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
