AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We're the people who keep the cloud running — supporting all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer II to join our Infrastructure Supply Chain team, building large-scale distributed systems that power one of the world's most complex physical supply chains. Our systems manage hundreds of thousands of rack demands annually across AMER, EMEA, APAC, and GOVT regions — from demand forecasting and material planning to manufacturing execution, logistics, and data center deployment.

These are greenfield projects offering a rare prospect to build systems from the ground up using modern technologies including reactive microservices, serverless computing, and distributed NoSQL data stores.

What You'll Do
Design and build highly scalable,



fault-tolerant distributed systems that support the end-to-end infrastructure supply chain — spanning demand planning, fulfillment, manufacturing, logistics, and DC readiness
Solve complex architecture and business problems, delivering extensible solutions that operate at AWS scale
Write high-quality, modular, functional, and testable code with a focus on operational excellence
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain planners, hardware engineers, and operations managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Formally mentor junior engineers on system design, coding best practices, and troubleshooting
Contribute to the full software development lifecycle — from design and code reviews through testing, deployment, and operations
Drive innovation in areas such as demand forecasting, supply optimization, and end-to-end observability through the Infrastructure Control Tower
