nWe are looking for someone to build revenue with us from zero.
nMarCat is building the technology infrastructure for India's independent retail.
nWe're starting with supermarkets and independent retailers, helping them run their stores better across sales, inventory, customers and growth.
nWe are very early.
nThere is no sales team.
nThere is no proven GTM playbook.
nThere is no guaranteed salary for this role.
nWhat we do have is a market we believe is underserved, a product we are building, and the prospect to build something meaningful from the ground up.
nWe are looking for a founding partner to own Revenue & GTM.
nWhat you would own
nInitially, almost everything related to getting MarCat into the hands of retailers.
nYou will:

- Find the right retailers to targetn
- Build the prospect pipeline from scratchn
- Talk directly to owners and decision-makersn
- Visit stores and understand how they operaten
- Run demos and sell the productn
- Close the first customersn
- Experiment with outbound, referrals, partnerships,



field sales and other channelsn
- Understand why customers buy — and why they don'tn
- Help shape pricing, positioning and packagingn
- Turn customer conversations into product and GTM decisionsn

nOnce we find what works, your job changes.
nYou will build the revenue engine:
nprocess → metrics → playbook → team → scale.
nEventually, you would own the broader revenue organization and help take MarCat beyond Ahmedabad.
nThis is not a sales job
nWe're not looking for someone to execute a lead list.
nWe're not looking for someone who needs an established sales process.
nWe're not looking for someone whose definition of GTM is LinkedIn posts and marketing campaigns.
nAt this stage, you are the GTM function.
nYou need to be comfortable figuring things out, hearing "no", changing the approach, getting back on the phone and trying again.
