nRole Summary and purpose
nThe Senior Employee Relations Specialist – Healthcare & RCM will be responsible for managing complex employee relations matters across Revenue Cycle Management operations. The role ensures fair, compliant, and consistent handling of workplace issues while balancing associate safety, regulatory requirements, and operational productivity. This position requires solid investigation skills, healthcare/RCM domain understanding, knowledge of labour laws, and the ability to partner with operations, compliance, and quality leaders.
nKey Responsibilities
nEmployee Relations & Investigations
nLead investigations related to:
nWorkplace behavior, harassment, and discrimination
nConduct issues
nHIPAA-related violations, confidentiality breaches
nFraud, coding inaccuracies, and RCM-sensitive concerns
nComplaints involving behaviour
nConduct meetings with employees, supervisors, and cross-functional stakeholders.




nDocument findings, recommend actions, and ensure closure with minimal business disruption.
nRCM-Specific Responsibilities
nSupport ER issues within RCM teams:
nBilling
nCoding
nAR follow-up
nPatient access
nRegistration & authorization
nAddress performance issues tied to:
nProductivity metrics (DNFB, TAT, collections, coding accuracy)
nQuality scores and audit findings
nCompliance and payer-specific regulations
nPartner with Quality, Operations, and Compliance to ensure alignment with revenue cycle controls.
nCompliance & Policy Governances within RCM teams:
nEnsure adherence to:
nHealthcare regulations (HIPAA, privacy)
nHealthcare accreditation requirements (NABH/JCI)
nLabor laws and statutory requirements
nAssist in developing, updating, and socializing HR and ER policies relevant to healthcare and RCM environments.
nGuide leaders when applying disciplinary frameworks for sens
