JOB TITLE: Assistant Manager Claims Management & Sensory

2. JOB ROLE & INTERFACE MANAGEMENT:

The Job description is for the position of Assistant Manager in Claims management & Sensory. This role requires candidate to work collaboratively with Marketing, Market Research, Formulation, Legal, Regulatory to substantiate evolving, unique, differentiated claims across innovation, renovation, new product development, value improvement projects & consumer studies. Identify market trends, insights, competition benchmarking, demos, opportunities to craft & communicate claims creatively across platforms. Possess adequate knowledge of creative language and legal interpretations of claims with working knowledge of Indian (and International) regulatory requirements and statutory compliances.

Candidate should have expertise in sensory assessment for personal care category. Design and validation of protocol, assessment of prototypes & benchmarks, interpretation of data, preparation of technical reports & understanding of consumer habits & experiences.

Candidate should have proven expertise of handling the above role in a medium to larger organisation, preferably on Personal Care Products, alternatively in Health Care categories.

Should have good communication and collaboration skills to work with internal & external stakeholders.

3. ACTIVITY SPAN

Manage the claims discussion in network meetings & substantiation rationale for projects jointly with Marketing, Formulation, Regulatory and Market Research Function.

Partner with Formulation & Regulatory team to drive timely clearances of digital content/artworks with compliance (to regulations)



while keeping creative freedom of claims across all portfolios.

Create the claims and support docket, suggest supportive clinical/safety (in vivo and in vitro) studies, support challenges from ASCI/competition/consumers, with knowledge on regulatory compliance, product technology and brand objectives for the product.

• Ideation and databank creation of claims made on Hair Care, Skin Care, Pain Management Portfolio for Indian and International Brands. Map trends & competition and build insights & opportunities for current claim spaces, technical content, demos & digital communication

Understanding of sensory protocols, technical rationale of attributes correlating product with consumer behaviours, preparation of technical reports & derive insights

Manage sensory assessment for projects aligned with formulation team, train external panels. Identify opportunities for next generation sensory & format assessments.

Key Skills:

In depth knowledge in technical interpretation & substantiation methods for claims and clinical test methods across Personal Care

In depth understanding of consumer habits, product requirements, packaging requirements, competitive benchmarking, market research and insights for category trends/consumer/formats

Knowledge of the product technology, formulation, performance requirements and their correlation with end use application in different categories Skin Care, Hair Care, Oral Care. Pain Management, and Healthcare is added advantage.

Very Fluent Written and Spoken Communication Skills- should be able to communicate effectively with team & cross-functional stakeholders

Good team & inter-personal skills. Self-driven, creative & collaborative attitude.

Relevant Experiences:

A minimum of 6 to 8 years of working experience in FMCG
