A. Prescription & Dispensing
- Receive and verify prescriptions/orders before dispensing medicines.
- Dispense the correct medicine, strength, dosage, and quantity.
- Check prescriptions for possible errors, duplication, or obvious contraindications and escalate concerns to the doctor when required.
- Explain dosage, timing, storage, and basic precautions to patients.
- Ensure medicines are properly labelled.
B. Inventory Management
- Maintain adequate stock of medicines and consumables.
- Monitor expiry dates, batch numbers, and stock levels.
- Follow FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) principles.
- Prepare purchase/reorder requirements in advance.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification.
- Identify and report damaged, expired, or slow-moving medicines
