Job Overview

We are looking for a YouTube Video Editor / Documentary Video Editor who can transform raw footage, scripts, voiceovers, and creative briefs into engaging, professional long-form videos.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, B-roll selection, motion graphics, and sound design. You should be able to create videos that hold audience attention and communicate a clear story from beginning to end.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit long-form YouTube videos, documentaries, interviews, and storytelling content.
- Convert scripts, voiceovers, and raw footage into engaging visual narratives.
- Select and arrange relevant B-roll, stock footage, archival footage, and supporting visuals.
- Create smooth transitions, professional pacing, and engaging storytelling sequences.
- Add motion graphics, titles, lower thirds, captions, maps, charts, and other visual elements.
- Perform sound design, audio cleanup, music synchronization, and basic audio mixing.
- Ensure clear dialogue, balanced audio levels, and a professional overall sound.




- Apply basic color correction and color grading to maintain visual consistency.
- Create engaging openings, hooks, and pacing that help retain viewer attention.
- Collaborate with the creative team to understand scripts, references, and project requirements.
- Revise videos based on feedback and deliver final exports within deadlines.
- Maintain organized project files, footage, assets, and editing timelines.

Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar video editing software.
- Strong understanding of long-form video editing and storytelling.
- Positive knowledge of B-roll selection, sequencing, and visual continuity.
- Ability to edit videos according to voiceover, script, and narrative flow.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of motion graphics and visual effects.
- Good understanding of sound design, audio cleanup, and music placement.
- Knowledge of basic color correction and video export settings.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency throughout a video.
- Ability to understand creative briefs and work within deadlines.

Preferred Skills
- Experience editing YouTube documentaries or long-form storytelling videos.
- Experience with interview-based content,



educational videos, or investigative storytelling.
- Knowledge of Adobe After Effects for motion graphics.
- Experience using stock footage, archival footage, maps, charts, and visual references.
- Understanding of YouTube audience retention, hooks, pacing, and storytelling structure.
- Experience with AI-assisted video editing or content creation is a plus.

Portfolio Requirements Candidates must share a portfolio containing 2–4 strong long-form video examples.
