A solid experience in XML production and team handling, with good knowledge of DTD/schema, XML tagging, MathML, tables, figures, references, validation, and client-specific XML requirements.

The key responsibilities will include:

- Managing the day-to-day activities of the XML team.
- Allocating work based on workload, skill, and project priority.
- Monitoring daily production, productivity, pending work, and TAT.
- Ensuring XML quality and compliance with client DTD/schema and specifications.
- Reviewing QC findings and coordinating corrective actions.
- Handling complex XML tagging and validation issues.
- Providing guidance on MathML, tables, figures, references, and special content.
- Understanding and implementing client-specific XML requirements.
- Training and supporting XML operators on new and complex requirements.
- Identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Ensuring adherence to SOPs and defined production processes.
- Coordinating with copyediting, typesetting, QC, digital conversion, and project management teams.




- Preparing production, quality, productivity, and TAT reports.
- Supporting capacity planning and identifying manpower requirements.
- Ensuring timely delivery of XML files/packages with the required quality standards.
- Escalating critical production, quality, or deadline-related issues to the management.

Required Skill Set:

- Strong hands-on experience in XML production.
- Good knowledge of DTD/schema and XML validation.
- Knowledge of XML tagging standards and publishing workflows.
- Experience handling MathML, tables, figures, references, and complex content.
- Good understanding of ePublishing/XML workflows.
- Prior experience in team handling or leadership.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage production targets and meet strict TAT.
