Role Description The Workday Payroll Expert is a part time, remote role responsible for configuring, managing, and optimizing payroll processes within the Workday platform. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing payroll runs, validating data, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for multiple jurisdictions. The role involves maintaining compliance with payroll tax regulations, managing garnishments, and troubleshooting payroll-related issues in collaboration with HR and finance teams.

and support system enhancements or integrations related to payroll. This position requires proactive communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a distributed team.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in Payroll Administration and Payroll Processing within Workday or similar HRIS platforms.
- Strong experience managing Payroll Taxes and ensuring compliance with relevant regional and national regulations.
- Hands-on knowledge of Garnishments and related payroll services, including accurate calculation and reporting.
- Experience coordinating end-to-end Payroll Services, including audits, reconciliations, and issue resolution.
- Proficiency with Workday configuration and reporting for payroll; familiarity with integrations between HR, finance, and timekeeping systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex payroll data and regulations.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time capacity, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Relevant education in finance, accounting, HR, or a related field; professional payroll certification (such as CPP or similar) is an advantage.
